The aim of Black Warrior Electric Membership Corporation is to make electric energy available to its members at the lowest cost consistent with sound economy and good management. Unlike other utilities, rural electric cooperatives serve consumers who live in the most sparsely populated regions of the state.Īlabama’s distribution cooperatives maintain more than 71,000 miles of power line.
